This app doesnt make it through qualifying!

Literally this app doesnt make it through qualifying! Very disappointing app since F1 took it over. Used to be rock solid, now it hasnt worked properly for first two races. No longer an Apple quality/performing app. Races later, like Bernie, it doesnt do anything but make money for Bernie. Ive used this app every year since it was out by softpauer. Worked well until taken over and shunted right into the fans wallets by BE. Wont buy again next year. Still not working by Suzuka! Down for start of qualifying and down now for almost half of race!

2015

This app is not working!!! $27 and nothing.

2015 version continues to disappoint

Frequent crashes. Last night for Japan GP crashed during formation lap. Set up and navigation is a step down from 2014. I will NOT buy it next season. Easier to follow race on Twitter.

Fails at basics

I use this app primarily to listen to races. Unlike nearly every other app, you must keep the screen on to keep the audio feed. Kills the battery. Also, while drivers are listed in order of their points, the app does not show the point standings. It would seem to be one of the most basic functions.

Widget

Notification Center widget only shows seconds. PLEASE FIX!!!

If you need info now, this is not the place.

You can get more information, more quickly via the Internet than you can from this app about what is happening with F1. Most recent example was the race results from Russia were posted on the Internet before being updated in the app as well as information on the stewards decision concerning the final standings.

disappointment

I installed this app for the first time. Looks good. Lets look at the current standings...hm ...Where are the standings?! You kidding me?! delete delete.

Fan

Worthless. Free app doesnt work. It is designed only to sell premium subscription. Sad.

F1

Absolutly stinks had more info and worked when free from espn

Wheres the Support?

I think its bloody stupid that the App Support link takes you to the F1 website, but that there are no support links (that I can find) once Im at the website. The app works pretty decently, However, Im having Bluetooth issues when in my car. The commentary doesnt come through in my 2013 Subaru Outback. All other apps that have audio output seem to work but not this one. Often I want to listen to the commentary only bit I have to switch from BT to (phone) speaker to hear it. This may be simply an issue with my cars Bluetooth itself but since I cant find support, or a support forum where there is information sharing this makes it difficult. As I mentioned, all other apps work fine over the cars audio, just not this app. And its not my phone. I just changed phones. I have had this issue over my older phones (iPhone 5s, 6) and now they continue on my 6 Plus S. Maybe its just the car but I wonder if others are experiencing something similar. Works fine on home Bluetooth though. So by process of elimination Im thinking its the car, although it would be valuable of the developers updated the app to utilise the same Bluetooth audio protocols as other apps. I hope someone is reading this and responds.

Enhances the races

Much more fun to watch them with the app!

Not ready for prime time (or race time)

Ive had a lot of issues with time outs and real time data not loading during races. For the price this app should be bullet proof - but feels more like a beta product. Buyer beware here.

Great but needs improvement.

Its great for news and timing screens during weekends but the track map timing needs a lot of improvement. Might be my connection but the cars go 250 kph in the corners and 100 kph on the straights. Seems legit.

Swindled/Highway robbery

This years version of the app is high way robbery. At $0.99 it wouldve been a waste of money,$29.99 is a ripoff.Read the reviews everyone is frustrated and angry for what they got.Im sure I speak for everyone who bought this app when I say shame on you F1 app you owe us our money back.

Too many bugs to get me to buy another month

I bought one months subscription and after the Australian GP weekend I am glad I did not pay for the whole year. I eventually gave up using it and just watched on the TV. The main problem I had (and clearly this is far from the only one, based on other reviews) was the pause/resume function. I was watching a recording of the race and trying to keep the app approximately synced with the TV. Frequently the resume would not work after pausing; it just remained stopped at the current time reading. Sometimes exiting the app and restarting it would fix this. But even when it worked, the resume would often cause the timeline to jump back or forward by a minute or so, frustrating my attempt to get the app in sync with the TV. Also on Friday there was ~30 minutes at the beginning of FP2 where the app could not connect to its data feed. And once it did connect (I was watching live at that point) the app consistently ran slow by several seconds per minute so it drifted away from the TV feed. I wont be buying another months subcription unless this gets some serious fixes. I had the 2012 version of this app and it had regressed badly since then. Update: during the season most of the bugs got fixed but the information provided was greatly REDUCED. It used to have sector times for example, now they have been taken away. Even if you pay the monthly price to get the full amount of data I think you are getting less than previously. Like much else in F1 there seems to be no attempt to improve value to the fans.

Horrible App!

A little bit of news. Thats all this app has thats really worth anything, and its pilfered from gpupdate.com anyway. But GPupdate has 100x the content. This app is trash and going in the garbage.

Ripoff

Both this app and the computer app are ripoffs. Had to reload several times and still never worked correctly!

Worth it in America

So worth the money just to not listen to the stupid nbc:sn commentators, I know the sport !!! stop explaining everything to me like a baby, the European commentators make this app worth it.

Where is video stream ?

Without live video this app is waste of money ... Sorry but this is true.

Fun but subscription problems

When you can use this app Live during a race you can watch in your time zone, its fun. I like being able to see where all the racers are on the track or in the pit, the added details of the course, speeds, tire use and being able to listen to this apps broadcast when TV goes to commercial. I only gave it 3 stars because the app tends to charge you for a subscription you dont want or authorize. I doubt if I can get any of my money back due to unwanted authorizations and thats just not right !!
